The Châteu de Villa is the founding place

Cave Biber maintains a close relationship with the Ordre de la Channe

The Ordre de la Channe , the first wine order in Valais, was founded on December 1, 1957, in the magnificent setting of the Château de Villa in Sierre. The order, or wine brotherhood, was born from the blending and merging of ideas repeatedly expressed by men who respected, honored, and wished to spread good wine. The first Procureur was Dr. Henry Wuilloud, one of the great names in Valais viticulture. The initiators of the Ordre de la Channe immediately set themselves ambitious goals, such as:

To serve, honor and celebrate Valais wine and other wines;
To promote and promote the wines of the Upper Rhône;
Consistently support initiatives for better defense of wine.
The first autumn General Chapter took place on October 4, 1958, at the Hotel Bellevue in Sierre, providing an unforgettable day for the 115 registered participants. Since then, the Order has celebrated more than 250 chapters in Valais, Switzerland, and throughout the world. The Order is a member of the Swiss Federation of Wine and Gastronomic Brothers and the International Federation of Wine Brothers. Thanks to the commitment of current Procureur Patrick Bérod, it maintains close ties with the Swiss Consulate of the European Order of Wine Knights, the Ordo Equestris Vini Europae .

Bernd Reichert, the president of Cave Biber SA, is an honorary member of the Ordre de la Channe.
