The VINEA association was founded in Sierre in 1994 to promote interaction between producers and wine lovers. Since then, VINEA has become an important center of excellence for regional, national, and international activities in the service of Swiss viticulture and international wine quality.
It organizes events, wine competitions, and various publications, among other things. The association also runs the secretariat of VINOFED , the worldwide association of major wine and spirits competitions.
